More than 28 million women in Egypt work in scientific jobs, three times as high as men in the profession, according to the Quarterly Bulletin Labour Force Survey the First Quarter of 2019 by CAPMAS.

The second highest profession women are involved in is agriculture and fisheries. The number of women making a living out of these two domains is 23 million.

The least number of working women are in the crafts field, most of carpenters and painters are men, at 22.2 million.
